Sustainability

I went to a sustainability forum last night at a local college. They had printed programs and pamphlets, but they'd printed very few, so people could share. "Instead of killing a tree, we just chopped off a limb!" they joked. They also took other steps, such as replacing bottled water for the panelists with filtered tap water in recyclable glass jars. Great idea, I thought.

Becky,

This actually isn't a comment about your blog at all, so there's no need to actually post it. I'm the guy who's helping Kevin Kim plan the route for his Walk, and I've got some questions about getting through the Walla Walla area. Please shoot me an e-mail at kevinswalkcentral@gmail.com, and I'll respond.

many thanks,
Alan Cook

Hey Becky,
I love the idea of recycling jars as glasses!
It's my first chance to say hi and welcom, and to see what's doing in Walla Walla. Woo hoo for another City Daily Photo friend joining us in the Pacific Northwest.
We're thinking of a picnic and photowalk in Seattle for all BC, WA, and OR CDPBloggers and anyone else who can make it. September 21st is the date to hold if you can make it over the hill to join us.
Have fun with your blog, and I'll look forward to seeing your images. My longtime friend's dad grew up in Walla Walla, and he liked to startle me by taking big bites out of those famous Walla Walla sweet onions as if they were apples.

So much we could all do, and if we all just did one thing consistently...can you imagine?
