Sunshine at Last!

It's a beautiful (though chilly!) day in the Walla Walla Valley today; I snapped this photo this morning while on my morning break. I had to take a walk when the sun came out - it was just too beautiful to pass up. This is a shot of the Walla Walla U. Church in College Place. The campus is one of my favourite places in the valley to walk, with a nearby subdivision bordered by a creekside path a close second. This Seventh-day Adventist church associated with the university on whose campus it resides has a membership of around 2,000. It hosts two church services each weekend, one at 9:30 a.m. and the other at 11:45 a.m., with multiple Bible study groups meeting in-between. It's easy to get lost in a large church like this...but music ensembles sound amazing here! If you're ever in the valley and have the opportunity to attend a concert here, please do! Almost every Saturday evening the university's music department hosts a musical vespers program featuring the church's large pipe organ.

Quite a nice architecture with that spire.

Still waiting for the sun to peek through here!

How did you change the blog post title font? It's great!

This tall and impressive building seems to be the perfect place to hear concerts! and the blue sky offers a beautyful frame to your picture.

Ciel: When you're looking at your blog, click "Design," then "Template Designer" (near the top, under the tabs). From there, click "advanced" and then you can play around with fonts, colours, size, etc.

Malyss: Glad you like it - the sky was amazing yesterday, and is again today!

This looks like a lovely church! My church at Andrew University had two services, too. I guess when the church is that big it can't fit everyone in a once ;-D

PS: Thank you for the comment on my last blog post!

Kaori, are you talking about Andrews University in Michigan here in the U.S.?

Just remembered this post! Yes, I grew in Berrien Springs, MI. My dad went to school at Andrews. Have you ever been there?
I think our president there was from Walla Walla...not sure though :-)
