Macy's bought them about 10 years ago or so. They tried branding as Bon-Macy's for a while, but I think it's been about five years or so since the Bon was dropped. The name still exists, however; the Bon is carved into the rock of the downtown Seattle store!

I used to call the area "The Burmuda Triangle of Bad Advertising" because the Bon, Shane Company, and Sleep Country USA were basically on opposite corners in Seattle. I hated all of their ads, but especially the Bon's that used the Day-O song. Ugh. Bon went away, Shane moved way north to Alderwood mall. Sleep Country is still there.Weisenheimerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12164484147169721745noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6022127357351726767.post-60086066517283447592011-04-02T08:45:47.645-07:002011-04-02T08:45:47.645-07:00I see their flyers in the paper so I know we must ...I see their flyers in the paper so I know we must have one around here somewhere, but I've never been inside one. I'm fairly certain they are a northwest company. Or WERE before they disappeared and became Macy's.Beckyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15100023167123234673noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6022127357351726767.post-14722852964110874372011-04-02T02:44:34.730-07:002011-04-02T02:44:34.730-07:00I've been to Macy's in NYC! I understand that it has been around since 1858, even before Sears and Montgomery Ward!Monkeyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13869137345410660420noreply@blogger.com
